ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDY OF THE FIRST TRAM OF PHASE 1 OF THE BADIA DE PALMA TRAM
– The project is developed in the municipality of Palma, Majorca. The affected areas are the centre of Palma, Portitxol, Es Molinar, Es Coll d’en Rabassa and Can Pastilla.
– A total of 16 route alternatives are studied (5 groups of alternatives) which will connect the centre of Palma with the airport.
– The total length of the route of the selected alternative is 10,425 m, with a proposal of 18 stops with a distance of 615 m between stops.
– Crossing of the Sa Riera, Na Bàrbara and Gros streams, with the presence of habitats of community interest in two of them.
– Presence of cultural heritage elements with different levels of protection near the undeveloped route: assets of cultural interest, catalogued assets, historical-industrial heritage assets and buildings of historical, artistic, architectural and landscape interest.
